What does the application process look like?

  • Apart from basic questions about you, the application form consists of a task and a couple of open-ended questions.

We encourage you to not spend more than two hours on the open-ended questions. If you want to, you can.

The application form is the same for as for our other camp, PAIR, you can apply to one or both.

We aim to send the stage 1 decision within two weeks of the deadline.

  • Within two weeks of the application deadline, we’ll invite some fraction of applicants to the second stage, which will consist of a couple of hour-long tasks. We hope to create tasks which will be both fun to work on and interesting in different ways.

  • Successful applicants will be invited for an online interview in which we talk about you, your interests and the camp.

  • We expect to announce the final decisions (i.e. the accepted and waitlisted applicants) by mid April. You can indicate in the application form if you need an earlier decision.

  • You’re allowed to use large language models - but if you do, tell us which model you used and how.

This is not an encouragement to use them - we don't think they will give you interesting answers and we prefer text in your own voice over a generic "chatified" version.

Nevertheless, we think it's a good practice to credit the tools we use, especially in the case of generative AI. You have the opportunity to credit AI systems which assisted you at the bottom of the form.
